Tourism, Linking Cultures and Promoting Universal Accessibility The tourism industry is unlike any other because, instead of a product, you are selling a place and all the things it has to offer visitors.

You are competing with the entire world every time you promote tourism in a given destination, and this high level of competition demands a creative and unique approach. To be successful, your marketing should constantly put forth the best possible image of your destination, while creating interest on a broad scale in as many ways as possible.

With this in mind, Pivot Digital Media announces its project focused on promoting tourism across Africa. Under the theme “Tourism, Linking Cultures and Promoting Universal Accessibility,” the Executive Hosting is poised to projecting destinations and tourism products while increasing visibility with new media.

The growth in tourism to Africa comes at a pivotal time when the continent is taking major steps to improve travel and connectivity.

Africa continues to be the world’s second largest and second most-populous continent, and with over 1.3 billion travelers on the move, the world last year, experienced the highest growth in international tourist arrivals since 2010. Much of the rebound was spurred by gradual economic growth plus a strong demand for outbound travel from all markets across the world.

Forming Partnerships, Marketing and Improving Destinations

Pivot’s Executive Hosting is a three-sixty digital marketing and video content creation initiative that allows destinations to connect with a target market by leveraging brands the end consumer already loves. The project focuses on sponsored events and giveaways that tie in with your destination and create a level of prestige for the brand. Sponsorships are available in all forms from local parades to national events and brand events, each with its own target audiences and each with a specific set of benefits.

The Executive Hosting which will focus on marketing also places ads in publications to get the eyes of travelers around the continent onto your product while improving on destination’s identity with befitting descriptions to the public so they understand why they want to visit you.

“It is important to note that tourism is deemed as one of the promising sectors of the national economy.”

“We explore hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions and all the products tourism has to offer travelers visiting the beautiful regions in Africa for the first time. For the returning visitor. we create a good recap of what their monies can be worth since their last visit”, shares Samuel O.M, the Pivot Digital Media, Director.

“Partnerships also help maximize your marketing dollars and reach a broader and more desirable audience when promoting tourism for a given destination. Instead of attempting to create a broad base of followers and a reach that extends throughout the world, piggyback with a partner or an influencer who already has that reach in a way that benefits both parties,” he added.

In a combined effort to promote tourism on the continent, the African Union last year also launched a single air market initiative and urged more countries to ease visa regulations to improve cross-border travel. Noticing the growing Chinese tourists to the continent, companies and governments are also scrapping visa restrictions and launching products to boost visitors.

South Africa and Ghana are said to conclude visa-free negotiation in the coming year while Rwanda is doing more to increase visits to its regions.

Global hotel chains are also taking note, building more quality hotels targeting both business travelers and vacationers. And for tourists interested in going the offbeat route, curated city guides are offering diverse alternatives.

Pivot’s Executive Hosting will celebrate the African heritage through tourism by linking cultures while promoting universal accessibility through brand-sponsorships and extensive digital marketing. Email [email protected] to learn more.
